But today, he&#x27;s thriving.<\/p>\n<p>Sim\u00f3n was rescued in September 2025 after being hit by a car completely paralyzed, a case that didn&#x27;t look promising.<\/p>\n<p>But we gave him a chance.<br \/>And Sim\u00f3n decided to fight.<\/p>\n<p>Little by little, he came back.<br \/>First movement.<br \/>Then standing.<br \/>Then walking.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Sim\u00f3n is mobile, strong, and living a full, happy life.<\/p>\n<p>He still needs help expressing his bladder (about 4\u20135 times a day), but don&#x27;t let that intimidate you, it&#x27;s honestly easier than multiple daily walks, and Sim\u00f3n makes it easy. He knows his routine and will come to you when it&#x27;s time.<\/p>\n<p>He does have the urge to go and tries on his own, so we&#x27;re hopeful his nerve function will continue improving with time.<\/p>\n<p>Sim\u00f3n is, without exaggeration, one of the smartest dogs we&#x27;ve ever had. He has the mind of a herding dog, always aware, always moving with you, always connected. A true velcro dog.<\/p>\n<p>He will follow you everywhere. Bathroom included. Shower included too because yes, he loves bath time and will walk right in like it&#x27;s a spa appointment.<\/p>\n<p>He has a beautiful reddish, slightly long coat and a smile he never lost, even in his hardest moments.<\/p>\n<p>Energy wise, he&#x27;s perfectly balanced. He enjoys playtime (especially with his favorite activity, annoying the house cat), but also settles nicely and just wants to be near his person.<\/p>\n<p>Sim\u00f3n is about 3 years old, 25lbs, fully vetted, crate trained, and also does well roaming freely in a home. He gets along with dogs, cats, and people. No special medications needed, just a good dry food diet to keep his tummy healthy.<\/p>\n<p>He&#x27;s not a perfect dog on paper.<br \/>But he is something better, resilient, brilliant, and deeply connected to the people he loves.<\/p>\n<p>Sim\u00f3n didn&#x27;t give up on himself.<br \/>We didn&#x27;t give up on him.<\/p>\n<p>Now we&#x27;re looking for someone who won&#x27;t either.<\/p>\n<div
