River’s Story
River: The Easier Twin
River will gladly accept your treats, your leash walk, and your affection… then immediately return to whatever he was doing before you arrived. If June is the sibling quietly judging your life choices, River is the sibling who decided none of this is his problem.
River is June's brother, around 2 years old and 29lbs, and while they grew up together at the shelter, River is definitely the more relaxed version of the pair.
He loves playgroups, enjoys running around with his dog friends, and is always happy to join whatever chaos is happening in the yard. He'll happily approach volunteers for treats, leash walks, and attention… and then may completely ignore them five minutes later because he has important dog business to attend to.
River has a wonderful independent streak. He enjoys people, but he doesn't need to be glued to your side every second of the day. He's confident, social, and perfectly comfortable entertaining himself.
His favorite luxury? A good bed. The funny part is that while most dogs dream of living indoors, River seems perfectly convinced that the best place for a ridiculously comfortable plush bed is right outside in "Patio 1", where he can keep an eye on everything happening around him.
He melts into soft bedding, loves hanging out with his canine friends, and approaches life with a simple philosophy:
