Our Sister Shelter · New York City
Animal Lighthouse Rescue
Animal Lighthouse Rescue is our “sister shelter” in New York City. Once El Faro’s dogs are rescued and rehabilitated, we arrange their trip north to ALR’s wonderful volunteers.
From there, ALR finds foster homes, plans adoption events, shows off our pups and interviews potential families. They complete our mission by finding each dog the perfect forever home (and, ideally, a warm coat for their first winter).

Palmas Animal Welfare
Palmas Animal Welfare Group works hard to find loving homes right here in Puerto Rico. When there are simply too many animals for one little island, they team up with rescues across Puerto Rico and the mainland U.S. to find fosters and forever homes.
Generous donors help cover food, veterinary care and transportation, so every animal gets a fair shot at a happy ending.

The Humane Society of Atlantic County in Atlantic City, New Jersey has worked side by side with us to save many, many lives.
Their impressive adoption rate lets them open their doors to thousands of animals, including plenty of our satos. That’s a lot of happy tails on the Jersey Shore.

Camp Canine
Camp Canine is a locally owned luxury doggy daycare and boarding brand with multiple locations in Manhattan.
Throughout the year they foster our dogs, usually 12 to 15 of them, which means some very lucky satos get a taste of the high life before heading to their forever homes.
